USE THE PEG EGG RIG WHEN: The best time to use this rig is when ever the fish are or have been spawning. this is usually from October to April as long as the flows are high enough to avoid spooking the fish and when they are not targeting an exact hatch. HOW: The way to fish this rig is by slowly walking up the river looking for actively feeding fish ( most are along the transition of substrate) which are feeding on nymphs drifting by. the indicator should be closer to you and not on top of the fish. the flys will be about 2 or 3 feet further out than the indicator. |
